Rahim Lockhart

Entering his second year at Madison Central, Coach Rahim Lockhart has brought the Jaguars to be a top ranked team in Mississippi.   Coach Lockhart is well known for his basketball skills as a player and a coach.  After playing for Piney Woods and compiling records of individual and team accomplishments, he continued his career at Ole Miss. Considered to be one of the best players for Ole Miss, he earned numerous  awards throughout his distinguished college career. By his senior year at Ole Miss, he had reached a number of career records and was named to the All Southeastern Conference first team. With the play of Coach Lockhart, Ole Miss had a historic winning season earning their first trip to the Sweet 16.

After college, Coach Lockhart played for one season in the National Basketball Association’s Development League where he was a first round draft pick.

Prior to Coaching at Madison Central, Coach Lockhart was head coach at Grenada High School and Taylorsville High School.  He also served  as an assistant coach at Piney Woods.

Coach Lockhart and his wife, Tarrah, have four children, Amirah (13), Alonzo (11), Ahmad (7), and Ahmari (7).
